Hello and Welcome! We are Ben and Kenzie Parrish, we own and train Brittany dogs and are currently enjoying life in our 1903 Victorian Farmhouse in Parma, Idaho.
Ben
Ben grew up in this house, which has been in his family for over 30 years. He and his family owned various dogs over his childhood, but a real passion for the Brittany breed started when Hemi (Augua’s Hemi) came home with him. Hemi was the reason Ben fell in love with the Brittany breed; he appreciates their independence, companionship, and empathy.
Kenzie
Kenzie grew up in Meridian Idaho, she got her first dog at 14, an Australian Shepherd named Koda. Kenzie and Koda participated in confirmation and obedience competitions together, as well as agility training and trick training. She volunteered as the project leader of an all-dog 4-H club called PawsAbilities for over 10 years, where she taught kids how to train their dogs to be positive and obedient members of the family through junior handling and obedience training.
Our Goal
Together we are working to renovate our 120-year-old home, cultivate the surrounding property to bring it back to its former glory and usefulness, and raise Brittany’s that are sound, with great temperaments and good health.
Our aim is to improve the Brittany breed and to make sure that all our puppies are wonderful members of the family. We accomplish this with solid genetics and proper socialization to give them the best start in life. Our dogs are raised in our home with us, where they can get used to daily life and start their crate and house training. They are around our other adult dogs, as well as our nieces and nephews (children 2-10) and farm animals. They are exposed to car rides, loud noises, environmental stimulation, and objects they can climb to help them build and learn coordination and gain confidence. We always ensure that pups are well handled and loved before they go to their new homes.
